Tori Myers Celebrates Her Dean’s Award of Merit at the College of Arts & Sciences Honors Day Reception

Tori’s interests focus on the intersections between Indigenous studies, environmental studies, and the law. She will graduate this May with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in the Accelerated Master’s Program in American Studies with plans to attend law school at the University of Utah.

Rose M. Gladney Lecture Series

Julian and Emilia Saporiti (aka No-No Boy) performed their folk music and talked about their creative process behind their video- and material-arts-based storytelling at the UA Student Center Theater. They also guest-lectured in Dr. Morgan’s class AMS 422/522: Popular Culture in America.

AMS Student Tori Myers Wins Dean’s Award of Merit

Accelerated Master’s Program student Tori Myers has won a Dean’s Award of Merit for her academic excellence and service commitments. She will be recognized at the College of Arts & Sciences Honor’s Day banquet. Tori’s interests focus on the intersections between Indigenous studies, environmental studies, and the law. She will graduate this May with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in American Studies with plans to attend law school.

Dr. Edward Tang and Temple University Press win National Endowment for the Humanities Open Book Program Award

This fellowship allows Temple University Press to make available Dr. Tang’s book From Confinement to Containment: Japanese/American Arts during the Early Cold War (2019) as open access to the public. Dr. Tang’s work qualified for the award since he had previously received an NEH summer grant for the initial research on the project.
